The second YEM Annual Open Meeting was held at on 16th March at the Yealmpton Community Centre.

A group of about fifty people from all parts of the Yealm catchment, and a few interested people from outside it, met to discuss and shape the YEM project.  The delegates heard about what has been done to improve wildlife corridors and biodiversity in the catchment during the past year.  They then formed syndicate groups (upper, middle and lower river groups) to discuss what they value about the river and what should be done to protect it for posterity.  The outputs from these sessions will be invaluable to the YEM project team as they begin to develop a Yealm Catchment Plan.  Many thanks to everyone who took the time to attend and contribute.
